It’s just a normal Sunday in the summer of 1967, and Leonard doesn’t have to go anywhere. But wasn’t it Sunday just yesterday? Doesn’t every day just feel the same, his wife telling him all the same things she already said before, radio playing the same songs… Something is not right. Is it the same day over and over again? Will tomorrow ever come? You have to figure out how that happened to time and what’s going on, but your memory space is very limited, so you need to choose wisely which memories you want to keep with you the next day.
My Responsibility
I took care of all technical aspects of the development for this project. I started using CryEngine 5.2 with Flowgraph, but towards the end of this project I
went back using Unity which resulted to be a better and more familiar choice for me and my team.
I also was in charge of the motion capture sessions, which took place at the University's Motion Capturing Studio at TH Köln. The studio was equipped with an Optitrack s250e cameras system with Motive as capturing software.
The recording in Motive can be streamed directly into Motion Builder for a seamless workflow from capturing to applying the animations, and finally importing them into Unity.
The experience with motion capture was a highlight of this project, but the inexperience with CryEngine and the time pressure made it a challenging project.
