About

Scarf was the second project I worked on as an Associate Software Engineer for Massive Minitem, and my first Unreal project. The game was developed by Uprising Studios and published by Handy Games.
At first my main task was to port the game for Google Stadia, but the platform shut down before the port was completed. However, it was still a great learning experience working on a Linux based system.
Next I focused on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One version, as well as PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
As my first Unreal project, I had to learn the engine and the codebase quickly. Additionally, I had to deal with graphics and shaders, which was a new challenge for me.
The biggest challenge was optimizing the game for old-gen consoles while maintaining visual quality and smooth gameplay.
I also worked on the adaptation of the game's UI to accommodate the many supported languages, including arabic

The game was developed using Unreal Engine 4 and C++
